This little white church, on top of a hill
And beside a busy highway
Sends out its message of “Peace be Still”
And of “Lo, I am with you always”
So straight and tall, with its slender steeple
Pointing toward the heavens, above,
Shows to the world and all the people
The way to God, and His infinite love
While so quiet, on the hill it stands
I think it would like to say
“Come on inside, where all will join hands
and worship God, on our meeting day”
There will be songs to sing, from the old hymn book
And there will be a call to pray
Then, the people will quietly listen and look
At the preacher, and hear to words he has to say.”
In the midst of darkness, it shines at night
In floodlights, like a picture in a frame
So pure and white – like a guiding light
Leading the call to worship, in our Master’s Name
