Choir director and Organist Kevin Kelly received his doctorate in musicology in 1989 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He administers the daily operations of the Music Library at UGA, and teaches courses on American music. Other music activities include directing the Athens Chamber Singers and the Athens Recorder Ensemble.
Pianist Nan McMurry has a doctorate in history from Duke University, a master's in piano performance and a master's in library science, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is the director for collection development at the University of Georgia Libraries, where she spends her days buying new books and repairing old ones. She also teaches courses on the history of medicine in the University of Georgia, Department of History. Along with her husband, Kevin Kelly, she performs with the Athens Chamber Singers and the Athens Recorder Ensemble.
