
Building Use
The Friendship Presbyterian Church building is available for use by Non-profit and certain for-profit groups and events in Oconee County (for a standard fee depending on space and time). Our Building Use policy is listed below.

General Guidelines
- Please submit all requests a minimum of sixty (60) days in advance (if possible). Please specify the needs for special items include sound equipment, lighting, bells and times of use for temperature controls at the time of the request. Use of the organ shall be approved by the Director of Music and Session only.
- The requestor is asked to complete two forms and return them to the Church Office: (1) Request for Facility Reservation and (2) Facilities Use Check Sheet. A second Check Sheet should be retained by the requestor till the end of the facility use to use as a guide in securing the buildings.
- The Church Administrator will verify the dates of availability distribute the proper Application and Check Sheets and inform the Clerk of Session.
- The Clerk will present the requests to the appropriate Ministry or Session for approval.
- Friendship Church-related activities, including those of Presbytery, Synod, General Assembly, may be scheduled by calling the Church Office to place it on the calendar. However, a Request for Facilities Reservation Form should be completed to assure appropriate coordination of uses.
- Ongoing programs of the church, such as Scouts, are exempted from reserving space for their weekly meetings. However, the church office will inform the group of any possible Church priority conflicts which may interrupt their weekly meetings. The Session reserves the right to adjust or exempt certain fees for those groups considered to be a part of the ministry of this congregation.
- Ongoing programs must keep a reservation on file in the office for weekly meetings. For special use of the Church, such as Courts of Honor receptions, etc. the requester must complete the approval process.
- Please remember “THIS IS A SMOKE FREE AND ALCOHOL FREE FACILITY”
- Facility Reservation Costs for Members of Friendship Church Requesting Space for Personal Use: The cost for use of one space (Fellowship Hall, Friendship Room,) plus use of the kitchen will be a minimum donation of $25.00 per day. Members are requested to leave the facilities in the same or better condition as found.
