The Friendship Choir
Music is an integral part of the worship life at Friendship Presbyterian Church. With a diverse repertoire, the choir, under the direction of Dr. Kevin Kelly and accompanied by Dr. Nan McMurry, provides music leadership for all of our English and joint worship services. The choir also enlarges to become the Friendship Community Choir three times a year to provide special music worship services.
April 17 at 4pm, the Friendship Community Choir debuted Dr. Kevin Kelly's The Stations of the Cross: A Journey in Shape Note Hymns as part of our Lenten Observance.
Recent special services include a Celtic Christmas Service (with the Chapelwood United Methodist Church choir 12/2010), Broadway! (10/2010), the music of Elliot Levine (4/2010), Pergolesi's Magnificat (with the Oconee Presbyterian Church choir 12/2009), a Jazz Service (10/2009). Recordings of these special music services can be found on our church's You Tube Channel.
